Internship - Chicago Dept. of Planning and Development

Who: City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development – Workforce Solutions Unit

What: Workforce Solutions Division Intern. Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Perform various functions to support programs, projects and strategic initiatives 
  • Research and analyze information for projects and reports 
  • Assist in the development of an operational manuals, and the streamlining and standardization of operational procedures 
  • Participate in the development of surveys, focus groups and marketing objectives 


Qualifications:

  • Must be a current college level junior, senior or graduate school student in good academic standing 
  • Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale 
  • Students who are majoring in Urban Planning, Public Affairs, Political Science, Business 
  • Administration or Liberal Arts is preferred 

This is an unpaid position for the fall semester. Expected start date and hours per week: Fall, September 30, 2018. 16-21 hrs/wk - flexible hours to meet the needs of the student and department.
