Graduate Research Assistant – Data Analytics / Records Management Specialist

Office of Planning, Sustainability & Project Management is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant with prior experience in data analytics technologies. Data management in the context of records management experience, web design experience and graphic design skills are a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementation of Meridian document/record management software (create and organize file metadata, upload files onto Meridian and review records for consistency, etc.)
  • Update departmental SharePoint archives with facility, business, and risk management records and information
  • Collaborate with PSPM leadership to develop a department-wide records disposal process in accordance with the University’s official record retention policies
  • Maintain PSPM’s website and update PSPM’s internal intranet site with valuable news and information
  • Develop, analyze, and visualize relevant departmental KPIs/metrics
  • Help facilitate space studies and compile reports and surveys associated with teaching, research, public service and administrative functions
  • Assist in other tasks such as printing, plotting, scanning and binding drawings and documents as requested, locating drawings in the digital archives and flat files for contractors and staff members, performing space audits as well as assisting other staff members and initiatives on as-needed basis.

 

Desired qualifications:

  • Proficiency in coding and programming; classroom programming experience required
  • Experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, and Macros
  • Web design experience a plus
  • Visualization Tool experience such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint
  • InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Capable of incorporating feedback and direction quickly and efficiently
  • Highly organized and extremely detail-oriented
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
