What: The Center on Health Promotion Research for Persons with Disabilities at UIC is hiring a research assistant to assist on projects related to health promotion, health policy, community inclusion, and the built environment. The position includes a tuition waiver and is for 50% time appointment (20hrs a week), although a smaller percent time may be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Developing evaluation surveys online through Qualtrics
- Input, clean and organize data
- Summarizing qualitative data gathered from a pilot study
- Assisting with manuscript preparation
- Identifying sources of GIS data for new grant activities
- Collecting and organizing new secondary data sets
- Running preliminary statistics
- Assisting with additional office work related to the study
Qualifications:
- Must be a UIC student
- Experience working in research
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience developing Qualtrics surveys
- Masters or Doctoral candidates
- Detail oriented
- Background in health promotion, health policy, disability, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software Experience with GIS considered a plus
