Graduate Assistant – UIC Office of Sustainability (CLOSES 9/3)

Who: UIC Office of Sustainability, Chancellor’s Committee on Sustainability and Energy

What: The Office of Sustainability is seeking a Graduate Assistant to:

  • Support the Chancellor’s Committee on Sustainability (CCSE); 
  • Assist in the addition of Strategy 7.0 Climate Resilience to the UIC Climate Action Implementation Plan; 
  • Assist in executing the strategies related to Strategy 6.0 Teaching & Learning, as time permits; 
  • Schedule CCSE Meetings, send out agendas, take meeting notes, maintain member list; 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: The preferred candidate will:

  • Have a strong interest in sustainability and environmental work; 
  • Have knowledge of planning principles; 
  • Be proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, etc); 
  • Have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

This is a 25-50% Graduate Assistantship with tuition waiver for Fall 2018 semester, with option to renew for Spring 2019. Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to Cindy Klein-Banai cindy@uic.edu by September 3, 2018.
