2024 Graduate Summer Internship Program - Legislative Analyst's Office (LAO), The California Legislature's Nonpartison Fiscal and Policy Advisor

Location: Sacramento, CA

Application Deadline: November 6th, 2023 

What You Will Do

Interns apply the analytical techniques learned in their graduate programs to a practical issue facing the State of California.

Qualifications

The LAO internship program is a rigorous analytical experience open to individuals who:

  • Have completed the first year of a two-year graduate program that includes curriculum that is both quantitative and policy based.

  • Are interested in becoming a full-time fiscal and policy analyst at the LAO after graduation.

Details

Positions available: 3

Compensation: $3,656 per month

Program length: 12 weeks, full-time.

Location: In-person in Sacramento, California. In-office work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Telecommuting offered most Mondays and Fridays, workload permitting.
