Transportation/GIS Internship - IDOT & DAMA Consultants (Schaumburg)

Who: Engineering, GIS, and Subconsultant for the Illinois Department of Transportation in Schaumburg, Illinois and DAMA Consultants, LLC

What: The intern will be assisting with work on IDOT’s data management of their traffic count database and roadways projects. The intern would be managing and working with the sub-consultant team (DAMA) at the IDOT headquarters to work on ArcGIS maps, coordinate the usage of traffic count data and maintain the data itself, and arrange the data once it is collected into ArcGIS, Excel, and other formats.

The internship will be a great experience for anyone interested in transportation and specializing in this field at UIC. The job specifically would introduce any student passionate about government through work at IDOT's headquarters. It is a paid short-term job, but is open for anything long-term as well.
