Advocacy Institute - Factory Farming Awareness Coalition - Virtual

FFAC’s Spring 2023 Advocacy Institute is a 16-week educational internship for college students. Interns will examine our food system’s impact on animals, climate change, biodiversity loss, social justice, and public health and make key contributions to institutional campaigns and to an overall cultural shift toward a more just, sustainable food system.

Interns in the Advocacy Institute will gain:

  • Exposure to a wide range of approaches to improving the food system
  • Hands-on professional experience
  • Evidence-based social change strategy skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication training
  • Career networking and mentorship opportunities
  • Competency in technological, political, and business solutions to end factory farming
  • Connections with movement leaders in nonprofit, business, and policy
  • Lifelong membership and professional development in the Leadership Collective, and
  • A community of caring and supportive activists

This leadership development program is open to students virtually and will include in-person opportunities in FFAC's U.S. regions.

Applications for Spring 2023 will be evaluated on a rolling basis until the program is full—students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The Spring 2023 Advocacy Institute program dates are January 17 to May 5. More details can be found at ffacoalition.org/advocacy-institute/college.
