Graduate Assistant - Remote or Hybrid based in Illinois

Title: Graduate Assistant

Type: 20 hrs a week (flexible)

Location: Remote or Hybrid based in Illinois (Chicago, Rockford, Other various locations)

Salary Range: $23-27/an hr (travel reimbursed)

Summary: Chaberton Energy is seeking a graduate assistant to support research, stakeholder engagement preparation, and community landscape analysis to help inform project development for community solar and battery storage projects in Illinois. This role is ideal for students interested in climate solutions, community-centered development, public policy, and energy infrastructure, and offers exposure to how renewable energy projects are developed in practice—including how community input can shape outcomes that are both locally responsive and commercially viable.
