The Great Cities Institute of College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a 50% time Graduate Assistant to help with accounting, financials and general.

Duties: Assist monthly financial reconciliations, processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate and current fiscal files and other financial/accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must be a full time Graduate degree seeking student in UIC majoring in accounting, finance or MBA with accounting concentration, or undergraduate degree in accounting or combination of training and experience. Initiative, reliable and accountable. Prior accounting work experience is highly desirable. First year graduate student preferred.

Administration Intern - Village of Itasca

Who: The Village of Itasca, Illinois is an attractive, vibrant community located 27 miles northwest of downtown Chicago and 6 miles west of O’Hare International Airport. With a resident population of 8,800 and proximity to major expressways and rail transportation, the Village offers an ideal balance of residential, commercial, industrial and open space.

What: The internship will provide an experiential learning opportunity in major functional areas of local government: administration, finance, human resources, special events, communication and marketing. This position reports to the CAO/Village Administrator and/or Human Resources Manager, and will provide insight into working in the public sector. Specific responsibilities include:
