Graduate Assistant - Office of Budget and Financial Analysis

Who: UIC Office of Budget and Financial Analysis

What: This position will provide direct support to the Budget and Financial Modeling functional team within the Office of Budget and Financial Analysis.
Primary duties of the position include:



Reporting - Run monthly data reports related to such university operations as financial aid and student fees.  Verify report accuracy and coordinate distribution to appropriate stakeholders.





Support Annual Budget Meeting Process – All university college level organizations participate in an annual budget review process to assess financial performance.  This position will provide direct administrative support to include printing/collating materials packets, assisting in reviewing of materials for accuracy, and providing direct assistance to BFA analysts in materials development.




Process Budget Allocations/MOUs – Assist Budget and Financial Modeling team analysts with the preparation of budget allocation letters, and drafting of memorandums of understanding between Campus higher administration and various university units.  Provide assistance with maintaining the MOU and commitments database to ensure accuracy of reported commitments.





Analysis – Provide direct assistance to Budget and Financial Modeling team analysts with various aspects of ad hoc financial analyses as requested.  Analysis may include such aspects of university business as tuition projection and reconciliation, operating budgets, etc.


Preferred

Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business, accounting, computer science, statistics, or other courses related to working with complex numbers.



Experience working with moderate to large datasets.
