General Overview:

The Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC) is a non-profit public interest organization promoting multi-modal transportation systems that work for all. Through pilot projects, research, capacity-building, and advocacy, SUMC helps communities realize a vision of an equitable and sustainable mobility future.

SUMC is growing its LA office to serve a growing set of programs that support practitioners and stakeholders in pursuing transportation equity and innovation.  In particular, the Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot program (CMO) disseminates knowledge and resources throughout a rapidly growing mobility ecosystem of public agencies, community-based organizations, Native American tribes, and private sector mobility providers.

SUMC is looking for a Spring Intern to support the Clean Mobility Equity Alliance (CMEA), a network of California mobility project implementers and stakeholders that supports knowledge sharing and peer-learning within the Clean Mobility Options Pilot Program.

Meeting Support & Facilitation: Support CMEA meetings with agenda development, taking notes, zoom technical support, meeting facilitation, and meeting scheduling and coordination. Support development of internal resources for meeting facilitation, notetaking, and attendance tracking.

Communications: Support external communication efforts such as development of materials that highlight the success and benefits of CMEA and contribute to the CMEA newsletter. Support the redevelopment and redesign of the CMEA webpage.

In all of these areas, the intern will gain applicable experience and expertise they can add to their portfolio of work, as well experience working with teams in a digital/virtual environment.
