Emerging Leaders Internship - Illinois Housing Council (IHC) - Mailing List

Join IHC's mailing list to be notified when the Intern Application opens.

The Emerging Leaders Internship  (ELI) program is a 10-week paid internship program whose goal is to increase racial and gender diversity in the affordable housing industry by creating employment opportunities with a support structure that exposes the interns to the full spectrum of the affordable housing industry and introduces them to the people who can help advance them in their careers. The interns are hired directly by and work with developers, housing authorities, general contractors, and other IHC members while also attending educational programming hosted by IHC. The cohort of interns participate in Lunch & Learns with professionals from different sectors of the industry, trainings, and property tours. They are also supported in their job search when they complete the program.

IHC encourages current students and recent graduates interested in real estate development, community development, urban planning, public policy, and advocacy to apply. Applications will be accepted February 9 – March 8 and interviews will take place in early April.
