Internship - Chicago Children's Advocacy Center

Who: Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center

What: The Events & Donor Relations intern will work in the External Affairs department performing and gaining experience in donor database management, donor relations, assisting with events, managing solicitations and coordination of silent auction, while working closely with the Development Manager, Events Coordinator, and External Affairs team.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in gift entry using The Raiser’s Edge and donor acknowledgment processing. 
  • Assist with multiple aspects of donor relations and development activities included but not limited to: fundraising events, meetings, tours and other donor-related activities. 
  • Coordinate and solicit in-kind gifts for clients, supply drives, and fundraising events. 
  • Assist in entering key activities for the Moves Management process. 
  • Other projects may include organizing and prepping event and meeting materials, tracking in-kind donations, and coordinating event volunteers. 
  • Assist in donor prospect research using WealthEngine. 
  • Assist in End of the Year Campaign Appeal & Giving Tuesday. 
  • Other duties may be assigned. 
Qualifications: 
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program, pursuing a degree in Nonprofit or related field. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team and independently. 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. 
  • Previous fundraising experience a plus, but not required.
