Community Development Internship - City of Lake Saint Louis

Who: City of Lake Saint Louis, Community Development Department

What: This is a temporary position with a maximum of 40 hours per week over a period of 10 weeks (400 hours total). Under general supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible for researching, compiling, interpreting, analyzing and organizing data to assist with zoning enforcement and long range planning functions. The individual will also assist with other various tasks/projects within the Department, as needed.

Qualifications:
  • College student in urban planning, public policy, geography or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to research and apply analytical skills. 
  • Proficiency with computer software such as Excel, Word, and the ability to analyze and organize data. 
  • Strong commitment to public service and community improvement, with a particular interest in planning, zoning, building/permitting and code enforcement services. 
$13/hour
