Internship Title: Program Management Internship (Fund for Equitable Business Growth Team)

Description: This is a yearlong hybrid internship in which the intern will be closely integrated within the Fund for Equitable Business Growth team under supervision of the Director to navigate the areas of program management, including but not limited to events planning, community research, grants reporting, and stakeholder partnership management.

Fund for Equitable Business Growth

The mission of The Fund for Equitable Business Growth (FEBG) is to help entrepreneurs of color succeed by funding organizations and institutions that support these entrepreneurs at every step of creating and growing their businesses.

Our goal is to understand and help fund the ecosystem that supports entrepreneurs of color so they can benefit through improved business modelsaccess to capital and other resourcesincreased incomeimproved business efficiencies, and greater household wealth.

Expected Assignments:

Events:

  • Advisory Group meetings - Work with FEBG Director to prepare for quarterly funders meetings and monthly funder committee meetings.
  • Learning Tables - Work with FEBG Director to organize quarterly learning programs for our funders.
  • Grant recipient convenings - Work with FEBG Director to plan quarterly convenings

Fundraising and Development:

  • Work with FEBG director and CCT’s Philanthropic Services team to develop and conduct FEBG’s fundraising strategy.

Programs and Grant-making:

  • Learning and Impact - Coordinate with CCT’s Learning and Impact team, FEBG’s grants evaluator, FEBG Director, to develop working documents to track impact measures to support FEBG grant recipients and FEBG funders.
  • Grants reporting - Work with FEBG director, Learning and Impact, and grants evaluator to prepare interim and final reports for FEBG funders.
  • Data collection - Work with FEBG Director, Learning and Impact, and grants evaluator to design and participate in quarterly convenings for grant recipients.
  • Program Committee - Work with FEBG Director to develop and drive discussions for working groups of the Program Committee to drive FEBG strategy (e.g. data infrastructure and technology, multi-year funding, capital access)

Ideal majors Public Policy; Political Science; Public Administration; Urban Planning; Social Science, Economics; Business; Social Work; Law; or other related fields.

Salary: $20.00/hour

Hours per week: 21 per week (2 in office; 1 day remote)

Internship Timeframe: October 2023 - September 2024
